For decades, the name Amada has been synonymous with precision, innovation, and quality in the world of metal fabrication. Our journey, which began on the other side of the globe, has evolved into a global commitment to delivering efficiency and reliability to our customers, including those right here in the United States.

Beginnings in Japan

The story of Amada started in Japan, built on a foundation of engineering excellence and a relentless pursuit of perfection. This spirit of craftsmanship and dedication to quality remains central to our identity.

AMADA began its journey in press technology in 1965 through a technical alliance with U.S. Industries. This partnership led to the launch of the TP series and laid the foundation for our press division. While most of our presses are manufactured at the Fujinomiya Plant, nestled at the foot of Mt. Fuji, we believe that the origin of our press division carries American DNA at its core.

Amada Museum in Japan

To truly understand this heritage, one can look no further than the Amada Museum located at our Isehara Works in Japan. Pictured is the AMADA Museum located at our headquarters in Isehara, Kanagawa. Built in the traditional style of Japanese architecture and surrounded by a serene Japanese garden, the museum is a meaningful place to understand AMADA’s founding spirit: “Growing together with our customers.” This museum serves as a living testament to our rich history, showcasing the evolution of stamping press technology and the technological advancements that Amada has pioneered over the years. It is a source of pride and a reminder that every piece of machinery we produce is built upon a legacy of innovation.

Establishing Roots in the United States

Amada’s commitment to supporting customers globally led us to establish a strong presence in the United States. This expansion was not just about opening an office; it was about bringing our dedication to quality and efficiency closer to the fabricators, manufacturers, and innovators across North America.

In 2003, we introduced our first servo press, and since then, AMADA presses have continued to spread across the globe beyond the shores of Japan. Since arriving in the U.S., we have focused tirelessly on providing solutions that drive productivity and minimize downtime for our customers. Our dedication ensures that whether you are purchasing a new machine or relying on our expert support, you receive the same world-class service our company was founded upon.

The Heart of Our Global Commitment

Our success is not measured solely in machine output or technical specifications. It is measured by the strength of our team and the loyalty of our customers.

The heart and spirit of the entire Amada team—from our engineers in Japan to our field service technicians in the U.S.—is defined by a shared passion for problem-solving and partnership. We are deeply thankful for the trust our customers have placed in us throughout the years. Your challenges fuel our innovation, and your success is the truest measure of our own.

Looking Forward to 2026 and Beyond

As we move toward 2026, the metal fabrication industry is constantly evolving, demanding smarter, more connected, and more sustainable solutions. Amada is committed to staying at the forefront of this evolution. Over the years, AMADA has expanded its market presence through strategic M&A activities.

We are excited about the future developments we are pursuing—innovations designed to increase efficiency, streamline processes, and continue delivering the highest quality machines possible. We look forward to continuing our partnership with you, driving progress together, and building on our global legacy for decades to come.
